What God Says About Marriages...

Even at the beginning of time when Adam was in the garden, God was planning on man and woman being together. The Bible tells us in Genesis 2:18 and 24...

18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Then in in Proverbs 18:22 the Bible says...

22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.

Marriage is something that is not to be taken lightly. Do not rush into marriage for convenience or fun. It is a life long commitment and should be treated as such.

God's Word... Not Just a Book

I keep my Bible (opened) by my bed at all times because there is no protection better, aside from God Himself, to have closeby. God's Word is powerful. Keep that in mind if you are feeling scared, depressed, sick, lonely, or even the happiest you've ever been. Try it...place your opened Bible by your bed before you close your eyes at night and see if you can feel what I mean.

As for what it brings me...well, it keeps me sane and gives me piece-of-mind along with the courage I need in my everyday life and that is when I am not reading it! Just knowing it is within reach gives me a sense of contentment.

The words inside give me so much more.... Thank you, God, for giving us not just a book, but your Word.

Thanks for the reminder. I'm not getting married soon, actually I'm far from it, but it's nice to receive this reminder and to see a site like this. I'll be looking for information about christian dating, if you have any thing please let me know.
